Today, I'm 10 weeks along and officially 25% of the way through this pregnancy! Reaching? Maybe, but I'll take all the milestones I can get. I'm 3 weeks away from my 2nd trimester and THANKFULLY my nausea is subsiding a bit. I'll give you a quick re-cap of my life and diet for the past 6 weeks since I've been MIA.
4-5 weeks pregnant
Over the moon happy, still feeling normal all around
6-9 weeks pregnant
Oh hey nausea, you finally showed up. 6 weeks was the beginning of sickness for me. I've yet to vomit, but I get this overwhelming sense of "holy shit, where can I puke" feeling. You know when your mouth gets all watery and you just KNOW it's coming? That's been my life for the past three weeks. So I spend the majority of my days drooling over the toilet.
My appetite pretty much changed on a weekly basis, but my diet basically consisted of: Whataburger cheeseburgers, saltines, cereal, bananas, canned peaches, strawberry greek yogurt, graham crackers, orange juice and lots and lots of milk.
10 weeks pregnant
Nausea has completely subsided for the most part (as long as I eat a little something every 2 hours). But that thing called "bionic fatigue" that I read about is really showing it's face this week. I just want to sleep....ALLLLLLLLL DAY. My diet is pretty normal. I just stick to light meals and I'm good. Except for chicken. Chicken make me wanna barf. Unless it's Chic Fil A. I get the occasional "craving" but nothing too crazy (yet).
BABY UPDATE: We had our 10 week sonogram on Tuesday and things are getting really exciting. We could see the baby wiggling around and he/she is actually starting to look like a baby instead of a peanut. Next Tuesday will be our very last appointment with Dr. Pinto and then we graduate to my regular OB. CRAZY EXCITING!! Baby is the size of a "kumquat" or "prune" and growing so much each week! Yes, I have 12 different baby apps on my phone and check them all religiously.
Now that I'm feeling human again, I'll try and update more regularly. Until now, here's my first official baby bump picture. I feel huge for only being 10 weeks, but hey, what do you do? At least there's a healthy baby in there, that's all I care about.
XOXO
